At Horace May Elementary, we are proud to serve students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade—years that are foundational in shaping strong readers, curious learners, and kind citizens.

We set high academic expectations and provide the support every child needs to thrive. Our staff is committed to building strong literacy skills during this critical developmental window, helping each student grow into a confident and capable reader.

In addition to reading, we offer engaging instruction in math, science, social studies, and more—building well-rounded learners ready for the future.

Equally important, we focus on character development through the Responsive Classroom approach, which emphasizes kindness, respect, and safety in everything we do. At Horace May, students learn not only how to succeed in school—but how to be thoughtful, caring members of their community.
